Guichard, Teng & Portello was founded in 1996 by Matthew P. Guichard, an experienced trial lawyer who has been practicing law since 1982. From the very beginning, Guichard, Teng & Portello has focused first and foremost on the interests of our clients, who benefit from our size and pooled talents and expertise.
Mr. Guichard says, "I founded the firm with the purpose of bringing together a small, distinct group of exceptionally talented and experienced professionals because I believe people hire lawyers – not law firms. I took the best of my experiences in international law, criminal law, and civil law, and formed what is now Guichard, Teng, & Portello."
Our goal is to encourage our clients to decide how their cases should be handled. Mr. Guichard's extensive background includes active practice in criminal law and civil law; additionally, he has studied and practiced international law in Europe. Christopher K. Teng, practicing law since 1995, has developed a solid background in business and civil litigation, and today focuses on general business law. William L. Portello has been practicing law since 1993 and is known for his winning civil litigation expertise.
